Chelsea Loanee Michy Batshuayi Taunts Racist Atalanta Fans

Batshuayi left Chelsea on a loan deal in January after a difficult second season

Michy Batshuayi and two other Borussia Dortmund players complained they received racial abuse during their side's Europa League match in Italy on Thursday.

Batshuayi scored twice in Borussia Dortmund's 3-2 win over Atalanta last week and played the whole return leg at the Mapei Stadium yesterday night.

The on-loan Chelsea striker, Michy took to Twitter to express his displeasure.

He wrote: "2018 and still racists monkey noises in the stands. really?!"

The Belgian ace, now on loan at Dortmund, said on Twitter that he heard "monkey noises" from the stands in Italy. "This should never happen".

Nawaz Sharif not eligible to hold post of PML-N party chief
The approval of Electoral Reforms Bill 2017 had paved way for sacked premier Nawaz Sharif to become president of the PML-N. Nawaz Sharif has already served as Pakistan's prime minister twice, once from 1990 to 1993, and from 1997 to 1999.

Atalanta president Antonio claimed he didn't hear the chants, but offered his apologies to Batshuayi "if they did happen".

The German side looked set to bow out on away goals following Rafael Toloi's 11th-minute opener until substitute and captain Marcel Schmelzer equalised with seven minutes remaining.

Batshuayi, who has had his opportunities limited due to the stiff competition at Chelsea, has hit the ground running at Dortmund since his loan move in January.

It's not the first time this year that Atalanta fans write the headlines due to their racists fans, after they were fined in January for racists chants against Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly.
