Delhi Chief Secretary assault: AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal detained

Utter chaos unfolded inside the Delhi Secretariat On Wednesday morning as Delhi Environment Minister Imran Hussain was mobbed by officials and staff, hours after Prakash was allegedly manhandled at the chief minister's residence.

The Delhi BJP on Tuesday demanded Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's resignation over the alleged manhandling of Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash. However it was reiterated by Advisor to CM at 9pm and again at around 10.00 pm that the meeting has been scheduled by CM at 12 midnight.

"I am deeply pained by the happenings involving the Chief Secretary of the Delhi Government". He claimed he had received a call from Singh's office saying that the home minister could not meet him as he was busy.

Delhi Administrative Subordinate Services President DN Singh announced a strike with immediate effect and said they will not go to work until those guilty are arrested.

Meanwhile, Hussains case was registered at the IP Estate Police station.

The Home Minister took to his Twitter handle to assure that justice will be done. It is quite visible that the work of the Delhi government is being stopped.

The Aam Aadmi Party has been slammed by the opposition parties.

Echoing his sentiments, senior BJP leader Satish Upadhyay said,"The Kejriwal government's fear of losing the by-elections in 20 Assembly constituencies has pushed Delhi into a constitutional crisis and now it is time that the dismissal of this government should be discussed and considered". He said that AAP & anarchy have become synonymous. "It has no relations with Constitution", BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said while addressing a press conference.

"Will be a very unsafe situation if Delhi goes towards administrative paralysis".
