IOS bug that displays Indian character can crash iPhones

iPhone Telugu bug will be fixed before iOS 11.3, assures Apple

When the Telugu character is sent in an iMessage, it can freeze up the entire Messages app on all of a person's Mac and iOS devices. Apple later acknowledged the issue and confirmed that a fix was on the way.

Apple has released updates to iOS and macOS fixing an embarrassing bug that caused applications to crash when they received a single character in the Indian language Telugu. The problematic Telugu character quickly became every Android users' favorite character, with people adding it in their social media profile names, just to crash their friends' iPhones.

APPLE HAS PUSHED OUT iOS 11.2.6, which includes a fix for the Telugu "text bomb" bug that crashed iPhones and iPads. "It seems, however, that the beta of iOS 11.3 is already immune, which is a good signal".

"The macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 Supplemental Update Fixes an issue where using certain character sequences could cause apps to crash", Apple states in one notice.

Penn State upsets No. 8 Buckeyes for a season sweep
The four-time Big Ten Player of the Week is tied for the conference lead in scoring (19.6) and is third in rebounding (8.8). Penn State (18-9, 8-6) downed Iowa by 24 points earlier this month and trounced IL last weekend on the road, 74-52.

This is the latest in a string of annoying iOS bugs.

Apple has told its app developers that when submitting products from April 2018 they must be built with the iOS 11 SDK.

After debuting its first major update, iOS 11.1, the iPhone would strangely autocorrect the letter "I" with "A [?]". It's a 49.2 MB download that you install via the Watch app on your iPhone (in Watch Settings General Software Update).

Your iPhone has another new bug, and this time it could trap your device in a bootloop - a continual cycle of restarting but not actually launching into iOS. The Verge reported that Telugu character also affected macOS, tvOS, and watchOS as well. Previously, a mysterious bug caused several iPhone and iPad devices to crash back in December past year.
