He also alleged that the BJP-led government in Goa was acting like an "enemy country" while challenging Modi that if he wanted their votes, "he must speak for us". He said the state government went all out to promote the steel flyover for commission. Congress social media head and Karnataka leader Ramya was quick to react, tweeting, "Is this what happens when you're on POT?" "People have already made up their minds", Siddaramaiah said.

Addressing thousands of BJP supporters in Palace Grounds, PM Modi had said, "India does not need Congress culture anymore, as it has ruined the nation". Once we comes to power in the state, the implementation of developmental projects will start at faster mode, in co ordination with the Centre.

Siddaramaiah also attacked BJP chief Amit Shah and state BJP chief BS Yedduyurappa and said, "BJP president was involved in a murder case".

He explained that these three TOP staples found across the country symbolised his government's initiative called "Operation Greens" to improve the living condition of farmers. "Modi has proved himself to be shameless having stooped to the level of Yeddyurappa in his act and words", Siddaramaiah added. He promised that Karnataka would be "Congress-mukt' and also free of the corruption".

Karnataka has for always been demanding Prime Minister's intervention in resolving the inter state Mahadayi river water sharing dispute by calling a meeting of chief ministers of riparian states that includes Goa and Mahrashtra.
