'Westworld' Season 2 Gets Eerie Trailer, Premiere Date During Super Bowl

'Westworld' Season 2 Trailer to Debut During Super Bowl

Of course, being an HBO show of this caliber, and one that's developed and produced by some of the most secretive producers in Hollywood, the new trailer may not offer the whole picture of season 2. But like most things in Westworld, there's some sleight of hand at play here.

The biggest commercials of the year drop during the Super Bowl, which made it a ideal time for HBO to debut a new Westworld trailer.

The show's Twitter account then revealed that the Season 2 premiere will take place on Aprill 22 at 9pm ET.

Despite its acclaim, "Westworld" has received criticism for its dark themes and mature content, according to the Deseret News.

And if you recognize the music in the trailer - that's the player piano version of "Runaway" by Kanye West.

Musical teases aside, once you know some of the footage isn't from the show itself, it's easy to figure out what those scenes might be.

Syrian civilians injured in chlorine gas attack
On Thursday, the Trump administration accused Assad of producing and using "new kinds of weapons" to deliver deadly chemicals. Mattis did not provide further details on which reports on the use of sarin he was referring to.

The Super Bowl will air February 4 on NBC.

HBO has released the first official trailer for the upcoming second season of the sci-fi thriller, Westworld.

Watch the full trailer, below.

This confirmation is certainly exciting for fans, and for the first time, we have a day to look forward to.

Abernathy's fate was left a bit up in the air last season, but rest assured that fan-favorite Herthum will be back for another round of robotic mayhem. There's also rampaging bulls, a smirking Evan Rachel Wood (who warns, "This world is a lie, and we'll burn it to the ground and build a new world, our world"), the return of Jeffrey Wright's Bernard, and killer robots. Logan looks surprised, Dolores less so.
