iPhone users will be able to download medical records from hospitals after Apple software update

Apple, the tech giant that has been hungrily eyeing the health care sector for years, announced Wednesday it would soon allow people in certain hospital systems to tether their medical records to their iPhones, getting easy access to seven categories of information, including immunizations, lab results or allergies.

Apple has been developing four next-generation iPhone projects: a 5.7- to 5.8-inch LCD device; a 6.0- to 6.1-inch LCD device; a 6.0- to 6.1-inch OLED device; and a 6.4- to 6.5-inch OLED device, according to Digitimes Research senior analyst Luke Lin. Apple is essentially having to catch-up, but now that it has been released on the public beta programme, progress is being made. The battery monitoring app will also allow users to shut down battery management to return their device to full speed, but with the risk of shutdowns.

In a somewhat controversial move, Apple is adding a new health records feature to iOS Health app.

Once the update arrives, users will be able to measure the health of their iPhone battery and turn off an unpopular function that slows down the handsets.

Apple has always banned battery-health apps from the App Store for security reasons. Even with the close family ties between macOS and iOS, it is not as straightforward as you would think.

Among the companies Business Chat initially will work with are Lowe's, Discover and Wells Fargo. It can recognize and place virtual objects on vertical surfaces such as walls and doors. This is a noteworthy detail, as the iPhone X was once referred to as the "modern iPhone".

This new feature will not share the contact information of the user with the businesses.

The iOS 11.3 update will also introduce a handful of new Animoji for the iPhone X. The software update will bring a dragon, bear, skull, and lion to the existing characters.

Interestingly, Apple looks set to take on WhatsApp's new, something that Facebook has also tried its hand at with bots and more for businesses in Messenger. The iOS 11.3 update will add a battery health meter and offer a user different recommendations when it is time to get your battery checked out. Note that Microsoft has been reliably open about its plans for Windows recently, allowing users to preview new features under development through its Windows Insider program.

Apple Inc's move on Wednesday to give iPhone owners information about the health of their batteries reverses the company's longstanding refusal to make such information available directly on iPhones and iPads, even though battery health has always been easy to check on Apple's Mac computers.
