The foreign minister Khwaja Muhammad Asif said that Pakistan is making sure to maintain a balance in its relationship with the U.S. and the government has made it clear that Islamabad can live without US' help but will not compromise on national integrity. He said it would include deploying more US troops to the country and intensifying pressure on neighboring Pakistan not to harbor terrorists.
