President Trump on Wednesday issued an Executive Order dissolving the ill-conceived Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity.

Trump established the commission in May to research "improper" voter registration procedures, systemic vulnerabilities and voting irregularities including any scenario where a person ineligible to vote becomes an eligible voter in a particular jurisdiction.

The commission was led by Vice President Pence and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach.

"Despite substantial evidence of voter fraud, many states have refused to provide the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity with basic information relevant to its inquiry", White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement.

Trump formed the commission last May to examine the US electoral system for evidence of large-scale voter fraud.

Democrats continue to scream that there's no evidence of voter fraud.

Still stinging from losing the popular vote in last year's presidential election, Trump and his voter suppression allies are only backing up to take a running start at preventing some Americans from legally exercising their right to vote.

As Americans, you need identification, sometimes in a very strong and accurate form, for nearly everything you do.except when it comes to the most important thing, VOTING for the people that run your country.

The prospect of DHS leading a new probe into voter fraud is raising alarm bells among voting rights groups, who warn it could lead to people being wrongly accused of fraud and purged from the voter rolls.

FA Cup: Lingard, Lukaku On Target As Man United Advance
The Czech Republic worldwide was soon in the thick of it, getting off a shot in the box after being teed up by Andreas Weimann. BBC Sport's Simon Stone described the decisive moment.

A number of Republican-run state legislatures have passed new voter identification laws of the kind backed by Trump.

To date, no federal laws have been put in place to limit voting rights and the courts have soundly rejected numerous state restrictions.

On Thursday morning, Trump tweeted that the "system is rigged" and called for a move toward "voter ID".

"Many mostly Democrat States refused to hand over data from the 2016 Election to the Commission On Voter Fraud".

Dunlap on Wednesday said Kobach and his allies "were the ones that were stonewalling", saying they had "very definite ideas of what they wanted this commission to come up with".

"The commission was poorly organized and conceived", he wrote.

"The Department of Homeland Security was created with the primary objective of protecting this country from the real threat of terrorist attacks, not to waste its resource on chasing the unicorn of voter fraud", said Kristen Clarke, President and Executive Director of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.

"But Trump seems intent on pressing forward and we're going to continue to watch and challenge them at every turn to protect people's voting rights". Mississippi Republican Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann said that when he received the data request, his response would be to tell the commission to "go jump in the Gulf of Mexico and Mississippi is a great State to launch from". But several states expressed concern over how such information might be used by the administration.
