Winston, Bucs stun Saints in season finale

The Saints earned their first playoff berth since the 2013 season and they have a chance to win the NFC South title. Tampa Bay coach Dirk Koetter could be fired after a very disappointing season

Tampa Bay had rallied for a fourth-quarter lead, only to see the Saints grab the lead back.

The Bucs converted a fourth-and-10 from their own 5 to get the winning drive started.

The Saints got a big game from rookie Alvin Kamara, who returned the Bucs first kickoff 106 yards for a touchdown, tying the game at 7-7. The Saints stopped one Tampa drive when rookie safety Marcus Williams made his third interception of the season and on another when linebacker Craig Robertson picked off Winston.

The Bucs came up empty on their next drive but special teams would come up huge as Tampa Bay punted the ball away. It was outgained by the Buccaneers, 455-323, and punt returner Tommylee Lewis coughed up a costly fumble that Tampa Bay returned for a 7-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter.

The Saints failed on an attempted fake field goal when kicker Wil Lutz was tackled one yard short of the first down.

Quarterback Drew Brees hit fullback Zach Line on a 3-yard touchdown pass for the score.

Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan picked up his 13th sack of the season, on a play that ended the first half.

Bucs QB Jameis Winston threw a flawless 39-yard strike to Chris Godwin, capping off a 95-yard game winning drive, as Tampa stunned New Orleans, 31-24, Sunday.

The Saints (11-5) "won" their first NFC South title in six years and will host the Carolina Panthers (11-5) next weekend as the NFC's No. 4 seed.

New Orleans would not be able to answer and the Bucs won their last game of the season, 31-24.
