"In response to assurances from the Turkish side, the US State Department came to the conclusion that the security situation in Turkey is quite good for the resumption of visa services, the embassy officials said".
The move comes two months after the USA suspended most visa services to Turkish citizens after one of its consulate employees was arrested.
However, the state department also said it still had serious concerns about allegations against its arrested local employees and about cases against USA citizens who have been detained under the state of emergency.

The U.S. and Turkey resumed normal visa operations Thursday after Washington said Ankara assured no further U.S. mission staff would be troubled over performing official duties, which followed two detentions that started the friction earlier this year, Reuters reports.

USA authorities then sought assurances from top Turkish officials that no further staff members would be placed under investigation.
The Turkish embassy in Washington said, however, that it had not offered any assurances to the United States over its detained staff.
The US said it had won assurances from Ankara that there are "no additional local employees of our mission in Turkey under investigation".
Turkish authorities will also inform the U.S. "in advance" if they intend to arrest any local staff member in the future.
In a reciprocal move, Turkey also lifted restrictions on visa services for American citizens, according to the embassy.
The U.S. remains concerned about the existing allegations against workers for the U.S. Mission in Turkey as well as allegations against U.S. citizens in the country, which sparked the crisis in October.
In March, a Turkish employee at the USA consulate in the southern city of Adana was also arrested on charges of supporting the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
