Noida Metro inaugural all-BJP affair, AAP says 'insult' to Delhi

PM Modi UP CM Yogi to launch DMRC's Magenta Line Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal not invited

On both these occasions, Modi took the Metro rides with the chief ministers of the respective states where the BJP is not in power-Pinarayi Vijayan in Kochi, Kerala and K Chandrasekhar Rao in Hyderabad, Telangana.

The Magenta Line, which will run from Kalkaji Mandir in New Delhi to Botanical Garden in Noida, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath by his side. The New Magenta Line metro will cover the distance of Kalkaji to Noida's Botanical Garden in just 19 minutes, thus facilitating easy access for commuters from South Delhi to Noida, and vice versa.

PM Modi, who was addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Magenta Line, also remembered former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and notable freedom fighter Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. He said travelling on a metro should be a "prestige issue".

On this route, state-of-the-art communication based train control, or CBTC signal technology will also be installed to help track the movement of the train within 90 to 100 seconds. While the Kalkaji Mandir station is underground, all the other stations are elevated. Trains will initially operate with the frequency of five minutes and 14 seconds on this section.

President Trump kicks off Mar-a-Lago stay, tax reform accomplished
On Saturday when asked for comment, the White House reiterated the benefit of the new law to the middle class. The bill is a disgrace for too many reasons to count.

In keeping with the objective of enhancing connectivity through mass rapid transit systems, the Union Government has launched nine metro projects covering a stretch of almost 165 kilometers over the past three and a half years. Metro Lines of around 250 kilometer length are proposed to be commissioned over the next two years.

A day before the Magenta Line's inauguration, the Prime Minister tweeted, "Great news for friends in the NCR!"

DELHI'S ruling AAP on Monday criticised the DMRC for "insulting" the city's people by not inviting Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to the inauguration of Delhi Metro's Magenta Line, saying this was done to stop him from making a demand to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reduce fares.
