LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball 'It's Not About the Money' in Lithuania

LaMelo Ball second from left and brother LiAngelo second from right have reportedly signed one-year deals to play with the Lithuanian club Vytautas Prienai

LaVar Ball shot down the notion Tuesday that the language barrier could be an issue for his sons, LiAngelo and LaMelo, when they play professional basketball in Lithuania. Additionally, Jonathan Givony of Draft Express says that LiAngelo and LaMelo aren't expected to get a lot of playing time for Prienu Vytautus, though they could get more minutes in the Baltic League, where they'd be allowed to develop their respective games.

The Ball brothers have agreed to a one-year deal with Lithuanian team Vytautas Prienai, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania.

Club director Adomas Kubilius gave to the official league website, Betsafe-LKL, shedding light on the negotiation process and the team's goals in signing the Ball brothers. LaVar said he would have both his sons bypass college basketball and planned to search out pro jobs overseas.

For now, the Ball brothers are only locked in for one month, as both sides have the option to terminate the contract if all parties aren't satisfied with the arrangement.

They're getting themselves into a great opportunity. We're such a small country, but we have many, many great players. There are already grave concerns among those familiar with both the teenage Americans and European team about whether the players can fit into Vytautas on any level. The team has been grappling with financial issues and started the season losing eight of its first 12 games in the Lithuanian league.

What do you think the Ball family is getting themselves into?

"They just gotta work hard - it's all about working".
