Qazigund (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], December 4: An Army jawan was injured on Monday in an ongoing encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Qazigund.

Two militants and a soldier were today killed while another soldier was injured during an encounter that broke out in Qazigund area of south Kashmir after militants opened fire on an Army vehicle, police said.

However, The Hindu reported that two soldiers were injured in the attack.

The house from where the militants were firing was blasted by the security forces and firing has stopped, official sources told UNI.

Earlier, an Indian army man was killed and another suffered injuries in an attack in the same area. One soldier also lost his life in the encounter on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway about 70 km from capital Srinagar. Locals said that they heard massive blasts during evening hours and it seemed the building in which terrorists are present have been razed to ground.

Meanwhile, region's Police Chief, Shesh Paul Vaid said they have recovered two bodies of militants.

However, army chased the militants, who took refuge inside a residential house and fired upon them, triggering a fierce gunfight.
