Syria: Israel Attacked Iranian Base outside Damascus

Report Several Iranians killed in IDF strike on Syrian base

Syrian state TV reported missiles targeting a military base outside the Syrian capital overnight, were launched by Israel.

Although the air defences responded to the attack, intercepting two of the missiles, the rest caused damage to the base.

The strike was likely conducted by the Israeli military and targeted some government military bases in al-Kiswah, located in the southwest outskirts of the Syrian capital, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

The surface-to-surface missiles were aimed at "military targets" to the south-west of Damascus, although Syrian air defences managed to down some of the projectiles, SANA news agency claimed.

The Texas Rangers now have the most money in their pool at $3.55 million followed by the New York Yankees at $3.5 million. Under the previous agreement, the time period was November 1 through March 1.

Some media outlets affiliated with the Assad regime and Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah initially reported that Israeli warplanes targeted an ammunition bunker belonging to the Syrian Army.

The Israeli air force has said it struck arms convoys of the Syrian military and Lebanon's Hezbollah almost 100 times during more than six years of the Syrian war. Iran has not commented on the incident.

Only last week Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman shunned Netanyahu's fears and stated that, "there is no physical Iranian military presence at the moment in Syria".

SANA says the missile attack occurred shortly after midnight on Friday and caused material damage. Reports earlier in November said that foreign reports said that IDF planes had bombed several targets in Syria, striking weapons warehouses in the town of Hasya, near the Syria-Lebanon border.
