Second woman accuses US Senator of sexual harassment

Second woman comes forward alleging Senator Al Franken groped her

Menz said she had been glad-handing lawmakers all day long.

Once someone is accused of sexual misconduct, there are a series of important questions that immediately follow, including the number of accusers. "And the fact that my own actions have given people a good reason to doubt that makes me feel ashamed". Since then, a second woman has alleged that the senator inappropriately touched her during a photo-op.

Mentz lived in Minnesota at the time and now resides in Frisco, Texas.

Menz said that she and her husband met Franken at the fair, and she asked her husband to snap a photo of the two of them. They also said he's "doing a lot of reflecting".

Franken said of the incident, "I certainly don't remember the rehearsal for the skit in the same way, but I send my sincerest apologies to Leeann".

Over the weekend, Franken's staff said he has no plans to resign.

"I felt gross", she told CNN.

Tax Cut Act Passes Out Of Ways And Means Committee
Similar to the House's proposed legislation, the Senate Plan would repeal the DPAD effective for tax years beginning after 2017. Job creators praised the bill for lowering corporate rates permanently and sharply, and for overhauling the global tax system.

Franken said he felt "disgusted" by the photo in which he appeared to grope Tweeden, or at a minimum pretended to do so. But Tweeden said the photo had a devastating effect.

Franken said he doesn't disagree.

The letter impart reads, "In our experience, we know Al as a devoted and dedicated family man, a wonderful comedic performer, and an honorable public servant". It isn't amusing. It's completely inappropriate. This is the first allegation of sexual impropriety facing Franken as a sitting senator. Just this past week, a committee hearing in the U.S. House provided stunning testimony of sexual misconduct in Congress, much of it directed at staffers. On the contrary, several women who worked with Franken in his Senate office issued a joint statement praising him for his professionalism.

"The Al Frankenstien picture is really bad, speaks a thousand words". Franken had been elected to the Senate in 2008.

Franken was easily re-elected in 2014, and so won't be on the ballot again until 2020 should he choose to seek re-election to a third term.

In the wake of Tweeden's allegation last Thursday, Franken vowed to cooperate with a Senate ethics committee investigation into his conduct.
