West Indies to tour Pakistan in March next year

MORE CRICKET TO COME Najam Sethi says five-year contract with West Indies proves that return of international teams to Pakistan is not just based on one-time affairs

Instead, a five-year contract has been signed with the West Indies cricket board.

West Indies and Pakistan cricket boards have confirmed that the former will play three T20 games in the sub-continent region next year with all three games to be played in Lahore. The tour was to take place in November of 2017 but was postponed because of weather conditions in the country that were not deemed appropriate. The reciprocal series in United States of America in 2018 will be a tri-series, with the third participant yet to be finalized. The series will comprise three T20 matches on March 29, 31, and April 1 and all the matches will be played in Lahore.

Pakistan had hoped three-match series would further help them revive global cricket in their country, where foreign teams have been refusing to tour over security fears for eight years.

A third team will also be invited to U.S. for a tri-series, said Sethi.

Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame aides on Broyles list
These two games also feature two Heisman Trophy contenders in Adams for Notre Dame and quarterback Baker Mayfield for Oklahoma. But the Tigers will need a lot of help even if they beat Georgia twice and Alabama once to win the SEC championship .

The attack injured six Sri Lankan players and killed six security personnel and two civilians and Pakistan have since played nearly all of their "home" matches in the United Arab Emirates.

West Indies team will tour Pakistan right after the third edition of Pakistan Super League.

Zimbabwe had a limited overs tour in May, 2015, however Sri Lanka's Twenty20 match in Lahore last month is considered as marking the end of the isolation, with Sethi telling Reuters at the time that the West Indies had committed to tour but dates still had to be finalized.

"As we speak, the National Logistics Cell (NLC) is working overtime and they have promised to get Karachi stadium ready to host the final in March", he added.
