Whittaker is the first female to play The Doctor in the long-running BBC series.
Check out the first picture of Jodie Whittaker in character as The Doctor below. The multiple earrings are just icing on the cake.
All of this is mostly lost on me, a dude who's never seen a single episode of Doctor Who, but as a big Attack The Block fan I'm excited to see Whittaker taking on such an iconic role. Jodie Whittaker of the BBC series, "Broadchurch", will debut as The Doctor in a two-part Christmas special. Still, a long jacket complemented by sensible footwear remains the Doctor's signature, no matter what face he (she!) is wearing. Does this make you more excited to see Doctor Who season 11? Taken together, the getup evokes a unique style for the new Doctor.
Once the dust settled, many immediately began to wonder: what would the Thirteenth Doctor wear?

It was Marc Bartra who scored in the 88th minute for the hosts, but check out what young American Christian Pulisic did. He is now the Bundesliga's top scorer.
Arguably, one of the most controversial decisions to come from the BBC in recent history in regards to "Doctor Who" has to be the casting of Jodie Whittaker as the new Doctor. Usual tradition of the show has The Doctor assuming a certain outfit scheme that embodies their own personality. Whittaker's costume is a colorful, unique outfit with suspenders, rolled up pants, boots and a large open coat. The suspenders could be an homage to Eleven's (Matt Smith) outfit, while the striped sweater might be a wink at Tom Baker's striped scarf.
It's not gone unnoticed by fans with one saying it "has great elements from previous Doctors". It means remembering everyone I used to be, while stepping forward to embrace everything the Doctor stands for: "hope".
The Broadchurch star will be joined by Bradley Walsh as Graham, Tosin Cole as Ryan and Mandip Gill as Yasmin, for the next season which is now filming in Cardiff.
