Dolphins send Ajayi to Eagles for draft pick

Jay Ajayi Reportedly Traded to Eagles from Dolphins for 4th-Round Draft Pick

The Philadelphia Eagles have added another weapon to their offensive arsenal, trading for Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi, the team announced on Tuesday morning. He has 465 rushing yards and only 3.4 yards per carry this season, but he upgrades the Eagles' backfield and gives them a young running back to build around for this season and beyond.

As the trade deadline approaches on Tuesday, the Eagles will be expected to make more moves.

MotoGP 2017: Pedrosa claims Sepang pole ahead of Zarco and Dovizioso
But we'll see, maybe tomorrow during the afternoon, rain changes everything so we need to see how we can manage. I made a couple of little mistakes but it was enough for the pole, which is fantastic.

"We gotta stop trying to hit the home runs all the time", said Gase. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Dolphins. By all accounts, it's a good calculation for a team that has gone from NFC East afterthoughts to the best team in the entire league through the first half of the season. Just $760,000, meaning the addition of Ajayi will have essentially no impact on their ability to re-sign their own players this offseason. He also scored eight touchdowns.

They brought in former New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount late in free agency, a move that has paid mixed dividends for the team; he leads the team with 467 rushing yards this season. The performance drew criticism from Dolphins coach Adam Gase, who did not mention Ajayi by name.
