And it's TERRIFYING: NASA releases audio of what space REALLY sounds like

NASA releases spooky “sounds” of “howling” space

Although space lacks a proper medium that would allow sound waves to travel, meaning nobody can actually hear your screams, it is, however, neither "empty" or "silent".

Listen to NASA's complete playlist of "Spooky Sounds from Across the Solar System" on SoundCloud, below.

The playlist includes radar echoes, plasma waves, and even dust smacking into a comet. The waves are electric and magnetic fields moving through the ions and electrons that compose the plasma.

While it's true that humans aren't be able to hear sound in space, NASA scientists have converted radio emissions captured by its spacecrafts into sound waves - and the results are quite unsettling.

Astros manager Hinch on hotel incident: 'No altercation'
TMZ spoke to the Pasadena Police Department, who said they responded at 10:30 PM to help hotel security "keep the peace". One witness claimed that the incident became physical and the cops were called to intervene between the two.

For example, some haunting screeching and roaring was produced when Juno crossed into Jupiter's formidable magnetic field - the protective shield that screens the planet from the blasting winds of our home star.

NASA doesn't say which spacecraft recorded these weird radio emissions from Jupiter's largest moon, Ganymede, but it was likely the Galileo spacecraft (which orbited the system for about 8 years). The radio waves are closely related to the auroras near the poles of the planet. The soundtracks come from celestial bodies including Jupiter and Saturn, as well as many different types of stars.

The eerie sound is similar to the emissions recorded on Earth during the aurora borealis in the northern hemisphere. Sounds of a Comet Encounter: During its February 14, 2011, flyby of comet Tempel 1, an instrument on the protective shield on NASA's Stardust spacecraft was pelted by dust particles and small rocks, as can be heard in this audio track.

Be sure to have this playlist handy when trick-or-treaters pay you a visit this Halloween.
