All Five Living Former Presidents Come Together for Hurricane Relief Concert

The hurricane relief concert took place at College Station, Texas, on Saturday night, and all the proceeds from the event went to help victims of recent natural disasters.

A hurricane relief concert has begun in Texas featuring the five living former US presidents appearing together for the first time since 2013. His wife, Barbara, and George W. Bush's wife, Laura, were in the audience.

Gaga made a surprised appearance at the event, called "Deep From the Heart: The One America Appeal", which also included performance by Lyle Lovett, Robert Earl Keen, Lee Greenwood, Sam Moore, Cassadee Pope, Yolanda Adams, Stephanie Quayle and The Gatlins.

Jim McGrath, spokesman for former president George H.W. Bush, confirmed the figure Saturday. President Trump sent in a video message.

"This wonderful effort reminds us that we truly are one nation under God, all unified by our values and devotion to one another", Trump said in the greeting, played during the concert.

Trump calls to 'keep America safe' citing rising United Kingdom crime rate
He appeared to tie the report to his efforts to restrict travel into the United States, tweeting, "we must keep America safe!" But those 329 cases account for less than 1/100th of a percent of the total number of crimes recorded in the report .

Five former U.S. Presidents, seated side by side in a packed Reed Arena on the campus of Texas A&M, offered their influence and still considerable star power to help hurricane survivors from Texas to Puerto Rico. The elder Bush did not speak but smiled and waved to the crowd.

They have since resumed the effort in the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria.

"The heart of America, without regard to race or religion or political party, is greater than our problems", said Clinton. Obama served as president between 2009 and 2017.

There is precedent for former presidents joining forces for post-disaster fundraising.

He's also thanking presidents Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama - frequent subjects of his wrath- for helping to spearhead the effort, calling them "some of America's finest public servants".

Rousing applause greeted all of the Presidents, but especially George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

Trump capped off a series of, at best, insensitive commentary by tweeting that Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), emergency personnel and USA military entities could only provide help to beleaguered residents for an undisclosed, but apparently brief, period.
