Cher Dances Her Way Into 'Mamma Mia!' Sequel

The cast has been shooting on locations in Croatia but they will join Cher  on the dance floor set up at Shepperton Studios in Surrey soon

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cher is joining the cast of the Mamma Mia! sequel Mamma Mia!

Dominic Cooper recently confirmed the original cast, which includes Meryl, Amanda Seyfried, Colin Firth, and Pierce Brosnan, will all return for the sequel. She has not revealed any details about the character she will be playing in the movie, but editors at the Daily Mail report she will be featured in two song and dance sequences. Personally, I just hope that this doesn't mean she is too busy to appear on Will & Grace again.

Newcomers in the film franchise are Andy Garcia, Lily James, Alexa Davies, Jessica Keenan Wynn, Jeremy Irvine, Josh Dylan and Hugh Skinner.

The pic marks Cher's first major movie role since the 2010 musical Burlesque. Streep played Donna Sheridan in 2008's "Mamma Mia!" and she will be reprising her role for the 2018 sequel.

'Nuclear war may break out any moment' - North Korea
With this in mind, he said that the country had the right to manufacture nuclear weapons of their own in self-defence. He said: " North Korea is the most significant geopolitical risk to the global economy at this juncture".

Cher has previously starred in a number of films, including Mermaids, The Witches of Eastwick and Moonstruck, for which she won a best actress Oscar in 1988.

But the "Believe" hitmaker has remained tight-lipped on whether she will be singing a duet with Meryl Streep.

Whether she's visiting the Tonys, crooning standards, or sharing the stage with some of Broadway's most notable legends, Cher has proven over the years that she is more than ready for her musical theatre takeover.
