How to help: Donations pour in after mass shooting rocks Las Vegas

UFC fight promoter Dana White speaks on behalf of his friend Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump during the second session of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland Ohio

Allegiant Airlines has flights from Minot to Las Vegas.

The crowdfunding page was launched by Clark County Commission chair Steve Sisolak on Monday, one day after the massacre that left 59 dead and more than 500 injured. The incident has been tagged the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history.

One of the clearest immediate needs was for blood donations and the Las Vegas Police put out a call for help.

A GoFundMe account raising funds for the victims of the mass shooting in Las Vegas has collected more than $3.4 million as of midday Tuesday, less than 48 hours after the devastating rampage.

"Our families understand how frightful such a thing can be and they're extremely sympathetic to the families who are going through this now", said Paul Friedman, executive director, Virginia Tech Victims Family Outreach Foundation. "We are here for them, and we can support them on anything they want, to talk to us, ask us questions", Lopez said. "Working people will continue to come together to do all that we can to provide resources to the victims and help our community through this very bad ordeal".

Las Vegas Shooter's Father Was On FBI Most Wanted List
Authorities have said they don't believe Danley, who's supposed to return to the USA on Wednesday, was involved in the massacre. Former neighbors of Stephen Paddock didn't remember him ever talking about guns, but did notice his gambling.

With many unsure what they could do to ease their city's suffering, local residents inundated blood centres to assist those fighting for life in hospital.

Quite remarkable, the City of Las Vegas had enough blood units-a total of 200 pints to be exact-to give to the victims, according to Scott.

"We had a couple of people that chose not to go", said Jessica Donamaria, Preferred Travel Inc. of Minot.

"We thank the first responders, law enforcement officers, and medical professionals who worked all through the night to save lives". More information is available at Bonfils.org.
