After fast start, Cowboys limp to loss vs. Rams

Rams to wear navy jerseys for first time this season vs. Cowboys

Now, the Cowboys must beat a quality Green Bay team to avoid dipping under.500 for the first time this season.

The Los Angeles Rams defeated Dallas 35-30 and when the final score was shown on the screen during the game between the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers at University of Phoenix Stadium, fans cheered.

The social media world largely did not approve of the combo.

Even if the Rams take the right approach on offense and defense, an upset of the Cowboys on the road appears hard.

"The team is now exploring a full rebrand, including new uniforms that will be unveiled in 2019 to coincide with the opening of the new LA Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park", the team said in its statement. Defensively, the Cowboys are yielding 20.7 points and 315.0 total yards (227.7 in passing and 87.3 in rushing) per game.

"Every week is the most important week".

But this season, it feels different because the Rams appear to have a legitimate offense. The offensive line has considerably improved in pass protection with the additions of left tackle Andrew Whitworth and center John Sullivan, yielding just three sacks on the year. MLB Sean Lee ranks second in National Football League with 298 tackles since start of 2015 season. Rams running back Todd Gurley couldn't be stopped, going for over 200 yards from scrimmage during the 35-30 win.

The inactives for Sunday's tilt against the Rams have been announced, and the Cowboys will be without their defensive leader. Dallas marched 75 yards in less than five minutes and took a 24-13 lead when Prescott threw a 10-yard touchdown to receiver Brice Butler.

Kane Richardson then claimed three important wickets as India lost its way towards the end of the run chase. Their partnership threatened to take the match away from India as Warner went for clean hitting.

"It's something. I don't know that I've ever played against a team that I'm older than the coach", Witten said this week, via the Dallas Morning News. Expect a shootout making the over a nice play in today's game.

Despite their 2-1 start, the Rams have had a few problems this season and one of those problems is stopping the run. With the correct balance and mix of play calls I think the Cowboys could really move the ball on this team. The Rams have notched 10 sacks in three games but also sprung a few leaks while giving up 19 fourth-quarter points in a 41-39 victory over the San Francisco 49ers on September 21.

Alfred Morris has two carries for 76 yards, including a 70-yard run, and Ezekiel Elliott has 14 carries for 56 yards.

If they can come into Dallas and leave with a victory, it could solidify their legitimacy.

Demarcus Lawrence has suddenly emerged as one of the best pass rushers in the league and last Monday night he nearly single handedly dominated the Arizona Cardinals offensive front, recording three sacks. No other team even has two wins (yet) in the division, showing that the Rams are starting to make a statement to their rivals.

The Dallas Cowboys are 8-0 at home.

The Cowboys offense will physically wear down the Rams defense throughout the game, controlling the clock and keeping the Dallas defense fresh.
