Reports: Mourinho Orders Pogba To Take A Break

Pogba, had to be substituted just 18 minutes into United's 3-0 Champions League group stage win over FC Basel after picking up a hamstring injury.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has ordered Paul Pogba to take a mini break as he recovers from a hamstring injury, according to a report.

And while Mourinho has dimissed stories the midfielder could miss up to three months with the injury, he revealed he is till in the dark about how long Pogba will be absent for.

Following the 4-0 win over Everton on Sunday, the United manager said he does not know whether the France global will be out for "12 weeks or 12 days".

The decision is set to be made in the coming days, with Pogba set to travel to Finland should they opt for surgery as the best course of action.

Surgeon Sakari Orava, who has monitored Pogba before and has also been helping oversee the recovery of Barcelona starlet Ousmane Dembele, has shone further light on the situation.

The 24-year-old is out of United's trip to Southampton on Saturday and is expected to miss games against CSKA Moscow and Crystal Palace ahead of the global break.

After the two-week lay-off, United face four away games in a row against Liverpool, Benfica, Huddersfield and Swansea.

Mourinho told a news conference on Friday: "Again, it is a great opportunity for other players to play. Until he's back, I trust my players". I can not tell you there is a rule about injured players.
