Quake detected in North Korea - China

In this image distributed Sept. 3 2017 by the North Korean government shows North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at an undisclosed location

Satellite photos of the area after the 3 September quake showed numerous landslides, apparently caused by the blast, which North Korea said was an advanced hydrogen bomb. "The Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC) is the sole organization in the USA federal government whose mission is to detect and report technical data from foreign nuclear explosions".

It said that the activity took place around 50km from prior tests by Pyongyang.

North Korea's Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho had warned on Thursday that Kim Jong-un could consider a hydrogen bomb test of an unprecedented scale over the Pacific.

Will North Korea's next nuclear test involve a thermonuclear missile screaming over Japan?

Kim Dong-yub, a former South Korean military official who is now an analyst at Seoul's Institute for Far Eastern Studies, said Kim Jong Un's statement indicated that North Korea will respond to Trump with its most aggressive missile test yet.

It said it believed the quake was natural because the specific soundwaves generated by artificial earthquakes were not detected, Reuters news agency reports. "In this case we saw none".

The area isn't where natural earthquakes normally occur.

According to China's official Xinhua news agency the epicentre was in roughly the same place as a similar shallow quake on September 3, which turned out to be caused by North Korea's largest nuclear test.

US analysts now estimate that North Korea may have as many as 60 nuclear weapons, according to a Washington Post report.

Kylie Jenner is pregnant, according to reports
The youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister is expecting a child with boyfriend Travis Scott , TMZ reported on Saturday. The event went down during September 8-10, and Kylie's current boyfriend, Travis Scott , was part of the line-up.

Vipin Narang, a nuclear strategy expert at MIT, said that such a test could pose a danger to shipping and aircraft, even if the North declared a keep-out zone.

If North Korea attempts an atmospheric nuclear test at sea, it would likely involve its most powerful ballistic missiles, such as the intermediate-range Hwasong-12 or the intercontinental-range Hwasong-14, experts say.

"Two #Seismic Events! 0829UTC & much smaller @ 0443UTC unlikely Man-made! Similar to "collapse" event 8.5 mins after DPRK6", a reference to the second tremor that followed the September 3 test.

That resolution imposed a ban on condensates and natural gas liquids, a cap of 2 million barrels a year on refined petroleum products and a cap on crude oil exports to North Korea at current levels.

There is no confirmed evidence provided at this time, whether there was an actual test explosion out of North Korea or a natural quake.

Chinese banks reportedly received the document on Sept 18.

The quake comes amid soaring tensions over Pyongyang's weapons programme, with the firing of two missiles over Japan in recent weeks and its sixth and largest nuclear test earlier this month. Asked about President Donald Trump's warning last month that the North Korean threat to the United States will be met with "fire and fury", Ambassador Haley said, "It was not an empty threat". The North Korean dictator said Trump would "pay a heavy price" for his statements.

The Ministry of Commerce wrote on its website that China would limit exports of refined petroleum products from October 1, and ban exports of condensates and liquefied natural gas immediately. It will also ban imports of textiles from North Korea.
