Brutal Moeen century sets up thumping England win to seal ODI series

Watch When Chris Gayle hit Brett Lee for monster sixes in World Cup

Moeen Ali won the Bristol six-fest with England's second-fastest one-day worldwide century as they prevailed by 124 runs to go 2-0 up in the Royal London Series against the West Indies.

Click play on the video above to see highlights of Ali's hundred, the second fastest by an England player in ODI cricket, including all eight of his sixes!

Only Jos Buttler, from 46 balls against Pakistan in 2015, has ever got there faster for England. He went from 50 to 100 in a jaw-dropping 12 deliveries, an ODI record.

Evin Lewis announced the Windies' intentions in the chase, hitting two sixes from David Willey's first four balls only to mis-pull the fifth to mid-on, and Shai Hope was caught-behind driving in Plunkett's second over.

After a 132-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Joe Root and Ben Stokes, England had been in some strife at 217 for 6 in the 35th over when Moeen began his innings-turning stand of 117 with Chris Woakes. "I thought we were in a bit of trouble, then we lost those three wickets and we both had to rebuild a bit". But then Moeen, dropped by Gayle at point on 87, switched gear dramatically as England piled up 123 runs in the last 10 overs.

He eventually holed out off spinner Ashley Nurse and walked off to a standing ovation from a near-capacity crowd.

Sen. Lindsey Graham: We'll get the votes for Obamacare repeal bill
Collins said sponsors were making last-minute adjustments in the measure's formulas for distributing federal money to states. McCain was the deciding vote in July, his "no" vote scuttling a narrow Obamacare repeal bill that McConnell had offered.

Third ODI to be played between West Indies and England will be telecast live on Sky Sports as well as Willow TV. "I just tried to slog it as much as I could".

England captain Eoin Morgan, whose poor run of form with the bat continued with a golden duck, hailed Ali s man-of-the-match effort.

West Indies reached the first three World Cup finals, all staged in England, winning the inaugural edition in 1975 and repeating that achievement in 1979 before suffering a shock defeat by India at Lord's in the climax of the 1983 edition.

Opener Chris Gayle led the response, at one stage hitting Ali for three consecutive sixes, but he never quite had sufficient support and was run out for 94 going for a quick single.

That left West Indies 176 for four in the 27th over and there was no way back for them from there.
