Apple iOS 11: Control Centre doesn't really turn off WiFi, Bluetooth

Apple's new Control Center lets you mix and match your favorite shortcuts in iOS11

But, the Cupertino tech giant is obviously still tweaking its latest version of mobile operating system, promising that some of these annoyances will be fixed with iOS 11.x updates. Let's hope that in future updates, Apple would make this process easier or indicate to users that their WiFi and Bluetooth is kept on for a good reason.

It's been possible to record your screen on iOS for some time, using a computer via a cable, but iOS 11 has built screen recording into the software itself. That said, some might have still been dragging their feet (or haven't updated their apps in general since Apple made that call).

iOS 11's most underrated security feature? ExtremeTech's official recommendation is "Turn Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off in the Settings menu to save battery life and not waste it on peripherals you probably don't own, use cases you don't care about, and features you will never use". The new iOS 11 came with some major and noticeable improvements to allow the iPhone and iPad users to enjoy it extensively.

Apple has built in services to use with the WiFi and Bluetooth on the iOS 11 devices.

As a result manufacturers have made switching these features off easier but in iOS 11 Apple made it more hard. Just drag whatever app you want to the Dock and it will be added for quick access. It will not only speak the phrase but will showcase it on your display so that you can see it.

If you want to use two apps at once but don't want the Slide Over panel to cover any information, you can move to Split View.

You can activate Emergency SOS by clicking the sleep/wake button five times in a row.

Apple explained that this was to allow some features such as AirDrop, Instant Hotspot and Locations Services to continue to function. Just last week, we discussed a Bluetooth exploit that could turn most smartphones into malware vectors without ever pairing with the infected device.
