And Taco Bell's plans in the USA aren't short on ambition: the chain plans to debut 50 stores in New York City alone over the next five years, Eater reports.

The stores will open by 2022, mostly in urban areas.

The "urban in-line" stores will be created to feature open kitchens, digital menu boards and local artwork.

But possibly the biggest change on tap for the food retailer is adding alcohol to its menu. These new locations will be selling beer, wine, sangria and new slushies called Twisted Freezes spiked with tequila, vodka and rum.

The Tex-Mex chain also has worldwide expansion plans, according to Bloomberg, and hopes to open more than 100 locations in Canada, China and Brazil.

West Nile virus patient dies in IL
Residents can also use DEET-based repellent and stay indoors at dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active. IDPH stated in a news release that the IL resident died earlier this month.

"People would come through on drive-thru and say, 'could you please leave a little off the top, '" said Taco Bell COO Mike Grams.

Neil Borkan, the franchisee operating the Chicago Taco Bell told USA Today that the idea was a good one. You couldn't afford it.

As part of an expansion, Taco Bell wants to start offering beer and frozen alcoholic drinks at some locations.

Taco Bell already has several other cantina locations in the USA including one in Las Vegas, where they offered $600 wedding packages. They'll also feature "shareable" food items like chicken fingers and nachos, according to Eater.
