A few showers through Friday as the remnants of Irma pass through

How much rain will Hurricane Irma send our way?

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to dampen the tri-state area Thursday and Friday, remnants from the once vicious, deadly Irma that ravaged south Florida over the weekend. The combination of both keeps temperatures mainly in the 60s from Indy to Seymour. By Saturday, high temperatures are expected to approach 85 degrees.

High pressure will be slip off the coast today and our wind flow will turn westerly. Shower activity picks up overnight into Wednesday.

While the high will push east of the region by Friday night, no further trigger of showers and storms will remain, leaving Northeast Ohio with fair weather for Saturday and Sunday. In our area, clouds increase in the morning, and a few showers will be possible this afternoon. We stay above-average with temperatures reaching the 80s and 90s in the lower elevations. One of those disturbances will move into the Carolinas late today, so I anticipate a few afternoon and evening showers. It's definitely more of an unsettled pattern to end the week.

Cardinals RB Johnson questionable to return vs. Lions
The Lions secondary also played well, contributing three interceptions and keeping Arizona's receivers from hurting them. Veteran kicker Matt Prater filled in for Redfern at punter, averaging 34.8 yards on four punts with a long of 47 yards.

"It's a spell of late summer weather", Horst said.

The highest gust in the area was 55 miles per hour, measured late Monday afternoon at the airport in Lancaster.

Despite a fair amount of clouds each day, we should manage to see some occasional sun through the rest of the week. Jose is trapped in weak steering currents, but computer guidance indicates the hurricane could begin moving northwest by early this weekend.
